TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Morphi Labs Terms & Conditions explain the rights and responsibilities of both Morphi Labs and our customers. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
By placing an order, approving a design proof, or submitting items to us for laser engraving, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. Throughout these Terms & Conditions, “Morphi Labs”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Morphi Labs.
1. Proofing, Design Approvals, and Formatting
- Final Approval Required: We provide a digital mockup or visual layout (“Proof”) for all custom projects. Production will not begin until we receive your explicit written approval (via email or our official contact channels).
- Customer Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying the spelling, grammar, names, dates, punctuation, colours, layout, and all other details shown in the Proof.
- Errors After Approval: Once the Proof has been approved, Morphi Labs is not responsible for errors that were present in the approved design. If a replacement is requested due to an approved error, a new order will be required at the applicable price.
- Image Specifications: For the best engraving results we recommend vector files (.SVG, .EPS, .AI) or high-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI in .PNG or .JPG format). Low-quality files may result in reduced engraving quality. Morphi Labs cannot be held responsible for poor engraving results caused by low-quality customer-supplied artwork.
2. Laser Processing & Natural Material Variations
Laser engraving permanently alters the surface of a material using concentrated heat. Because every material reacts differently, slight variations are a normal part of the production process.
- Wood: Wood is a natural material with unique grain patterns, colour variations, knots, and density differences. Engraving depth and colour may vary. These characteristics are not considered defects.
- Leather: Genuine leather naturally varies in texture, grain, and colour. Laser engraving may produce slightly different shades and temporary odours that fade over time.
- Glass & Acrylic: Laser engraving creates a frosted appearance by altering the surface. Minor edge flaking or microscopic surface variations may occur and are considered normal.
- Metals: Certain metals may show slight colour variations depending on the alloy and engraving process.
- Plastics: We only engrave laser-safe plastics. We do not engrave PVC, Vinyl, or other hazardous materials.
3. Customer-Supplied Items
If you provide your own items for engraving, the following conditions apply:
- Material Risks: Every material responds differently to laser engraving. Unknown coatings, manufacturing methods or internal stresses may cause unexpected damage during processing.
- Recommended Test Item: For valuable or large production runs, we strongly recommend supplying an additional sample item for testing.
- Limited Liability: While every reasonable care is taken during processing, Morphi Labs cannot guarantee successful engraving on customer-supplied items. Our liability is limited to the engraving service provided and does not extend to the replacement value of customer-owned goods, except where required by applicable law.
4. Intellectual Property
- Customer Responsibility: By submitting artwork, logos, photographs or text, you confirm that you own the necessary rights or have permission to use them.
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Morphi Labs against claims arising from copyright, trademark or other intellectual property infringements relating to materials supplied by you.
5. Pricing, Payments & Order Cancellations
- Consumer Orders: Full payment is required before production begins.
- Commercial Orders: For larger business or bulk orders with a total value exceeding €500, Morphi Labs may require a 50% non-refundable deposit before design work or production begins. The remaining balance must be paid before collection or shipment.
- Order Cancellations: Due to the personalised nature of our products, orders cannot be cancelled, refunded or modified once production has started.
6. Claims, Defects & Shipping Damage
Please inspect your order upon arrival.
If your order arrives damaged or does not match the approved Proof, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of both the product and its packaging. We will assess the issue and work with you to find an appropriate solution.
7. Returns
As our products are personalised and made to your specifications, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable European consumer legislation.
Returns or refunds are therefore not accepted unless:
- the product is defective;
- the product differs significantly from the approved Proof; or
- your rights under applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Greece, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
